چکیده

Setting of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) is affected by various factors. In-vitro Evaluation of Microleakage in Root Canal Obturation with Mineral Trioxide Aggregate and Calcium-enriched Mixture Cement Using Fluid Filtration

Introduction: Endodontic treatment failure is caused by the leakage of microorganisms and endotoxins, which leads to pathological lesions. Adequate seal of the root canal is essential to preventing recontamination and ensuring the long-term clinical success rate. Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and calcium-enriched mixture cement (CEM) are common types of cement with adequate ...

Dynamic intratubular biomineralization following root canal obturation with pozzolan‐based mineral trioxide aggregate sealer cement

The application of mineral trioxide aggregates (MTA) cement during the root canal obturation is gaining concern due to its bioactive characteristic to form an apatite in dentinal tubules. In this regard, this study was to assess the biomineralization of dentinal tubules following root canal obturation by using pozzolan-based (Pz-) MTA sealer cement (EndoSeal MTA, Maruchi). Sixty curved roots (m...

Canal Aberration Assessment in Simulated Root Canals: a Comparative Study

AIM The aim of this study was to compare time of preparation and canal aberrations in a simulated root canals after using three different rotary systems: Endostar E5, Endostar E3 and T One File Gold. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 90 endodontic training blocks were used in this study and divided into three groups consisting of 30 each (n = 30). Blocks processing was performed by thirty dent...

Retreatability of 2 mineral trioxide aggregate-based root canal sealers: a cone-beam computed tomography analysis.

INTRODUCTION The retreatability of recent calcium silicate or mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) sealers has not yet been assessed. The aim of this study was to evaluate the removal of 2 MTA-based sealers (MTA Fillapex [Angelus Soluções Odontológicas, Londrina, PR, Brazil] and MTA Plus [Prevest-Denpro, Jammu City, India]) using a rotary retreatment system, considering an epoxy resin sealer (AH Pl...

Tooth discoloration induced by a novel mineral trioxide aggregate-based root canal sealer

OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to evaluate tooth discoloration caused by contact with a novel injectable mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA)-based root canal sealer (Endoseal; Maruchi, Wonju, Korea) compared with a widely used resin-based root canal sealer (AHplus; Dentsply De Trey, Konstanz, Germany) and conventional MTA (ProRoot; Dentsply, Tulsa, OK, USA). MATERIALS AND METHODS Forty sta...
